FAQ
Before you start.
Do I have to choose an exam?
No. Pick “Learn without an exam” during onboarding and study any topic. You can choose or change an exam later in Settings, and existing cards keep working.
Are generated cards guaranteed to match an official syllabus?
No AI system can guarantee that. Cognito uses your exam as context to shape practice, but you should check generated content against your current syllabus and authoritative sources.
What does the free tier actually include?
Unlimited hand-made cards and decks, FSRS scheduling, Classic and Compact study, image occlusion, Anki import, every accent theme, analytics charts, widgets, optional iCloud sync, and 10 AI generations each calendar month.
Can I use it for medical exams?
Yes — several medical formats are supported. It is a study tool, not clinical decision support, and it is not a place for patient-identifiable information.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. Cognito is a native iPhone and iPad app and needs iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. Optional iCloud sync keeps one library across both.
